So your family is a return visitor to Orlando and has been to Walt Disney World. You are looking to investigate additional family fun activities in the Central Florida Region. This is the perfect time to rent an affordable Orlando Florida Vacation Home as your main base for your current vacation as well as future vacations in Orlando.
The advantages of these Orlando Florida Vacation Homes are many. If you are in a complex development you will typically have at least one large resort community pool and hot tub. These pools typically are not very crowded as the majority of people are out visiting the Parks. There are also typically tennis and basketball facilities along with outdoor grills, gated entrances and 7 by 24 onsite security. The facilities are landscaped with nice walkways and some have a center piece pond area. Most are close to a major supermarket as well as many restaurants. You generally have easy access to I4 and can avoid much travel on the local roads.
Best of all is the price and space in the facility. If you have more than 4 people in your group you’ll save even more as it can be difficult to reserve a single hotel room that will accommodate more than 4 people. You can find 3 and 4 bedroom facilities that will sleep 8 or 10 in the $100 to $125 dollar a night range during peak season. These units will typically have between 1300 and 1700 square feet of living space with 3 or more bathrooms, high speed internet, televisions in all the bedrooms, along with a living room, dining area and full kitchen to list a few of the amenities. If you eat breakfast in the unit every morning you can save $350 or more for the week on breakfast alone.
Some additional things my family loves to do in the Orlando Area include Universal Studios, Wet N Wild, Sea World, Old Town Orlando, The Kennedy Space Center and Busch Gardens Tampa.
If your kids are in their teen years they’ll love Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure. The Hulk is my daughters all time favorite and The Mummy is one of my favorite rides. The big rides at Universal are more exciting for the teens than the Disney Park Rides and there is enough for the younger ones and parents that it is a great time for all.
Kennedy Space Center is a great take and you can stop in at the Atlantic Ocean while you are there as well. If you are lucky enough to be in Orlando when there is a launch scheduled you should try to go to the Kennedy Space Center on that day. It is an unforgettable experience to see a launch, whether it is a manned or unmanned satellite launch.
Sea World is a little bit different experience, not as many rides and very interesting animal shows and exhibits. It is a little less crowded than the other parks and a little slower pace. A nice mid week break from the other parks.
Old Town has an earlier time feel to it. There are also some carnival type rides, a drag racing experience and a crazy sling shot ride. Parents don’t get too aggravated when your kids go crazy over the carnival rides after you have spent a lot of money on the Park Tickets. There is also a parade of antique cars that drive through the narrow Old Town Streets.
As you can see, there are a lot of different things to experience in the Central Florida Region. These are just some of my favorite things to do.
