Any tips on how to have that delicious smoky flavour when using an electric griller?
My mom bought this electric griller with Teflon surface so the meat doesn’t stick and burn. We have been using this griller since then because our outdoor griller is pretty old and broken. Plus, the electric griller is easier to use and doesn’t get your hands dirty unlike with the one using coals.
But the thing I’ve noticed is, the meat, although looking all delicious and not charred, it always lack this tasty smoky flavour you get when you grill meat using coal. Have you guys experience this as well, or is it just me?
Why is that? Do you guys have any helpful ideas or tips that perhaps can give this smoky flavour back into the meat? I don’t really want to go back to grilling using coals if I could help it since it’s too much work.

Buy some Liquid Smoke. It’s an awesome product that adds a wonderful smoky flavor into foods. You can brush it onto foods or add it to recipes. I’ve even added it to barbecue sauces if they aren’t smoky enough for me. The brand I usually use is Wright’s, and the link is below.
